We used a modern plant to ensure our mixes are of good quality.
Our mini mix lorries and concrete line pump are permanently based in Hemel Hempstead and start each day from this location.
We can design custom mixes to suit your needs but in general the mixes most commonly used are below.
GEN 1 / EASYFOUND
This mix is suitable for home footings and foundations. The mix is the equivalent of an old 1-3-6 mix and is formulated for ease of placement. The mix is quality assured and complies with British & European standards.
GEN 3 / EASY GROUND
This mix is suitable for multi-storey foundations and internal floors. The mix is the equivalent of an old 1-2-4 mix and is easy to place and can be used as a durable floor or under a screed. The mix is impact resistant, quality assured and complies with British & European standards.
EASYWAY
Hanson EasyWay® uses a specialist blend of ingredients to create a hard-wearing, highly durable and quality-assured product. This mix is ideal for pathways, driveways, and domestic parking. This mix is highly durable, resistant to frost and chemicals. The mix contains fibre reinforcement, increasing toughness and resistance to cracking Impact and abrasion resistant. The mix is quality-assured and complies with British and European Standards.
PUMP MIX
We supply a Ready Mixed pumpable mix. All our pump mixes are quality assured and comply with British & European standards. Our basic pump mix is P250 and so contains 250kg/m3 and can be mixed with 10mm aggregate. Cement content can be increased to suit any job.
FarmYard
Hanson FarmYard ® uses a specialist blend of ingredients to create a hard-wearing, highly durable and quality-assured product. This high strength and easy to place ready mix concrete solution is designed specifically for modern farming and the associated challenges of this aggressive environment. This mix is ideal for external road ways, farm yards, and farm tracks. Guards against the effect of low temperatures and the use of de-icing salts. This mix is quality-assured and complies with British Standards. The mix meets or exceeds all regulatory standards.
FarmFloor
Manufactured for strength, durability and hygiene, Hanson FarmFloor® helps set new standards in livestock management practice. This mix is ideal for floor for storing machinery, livestock areas, cattle sheds, and work shop floors. This mix is resistant to abrasion from surface scraping and animal traffic and potential damage from heavy plant and machinery. Customers can expect a high quality surface finish, reducing any issues with cleaning and hygiene. The mix is quality-assured and complies with British Standards.
Farm Floor Plus
Manufactured for maximum strength, durability and hygiene, Hanson FarmFloor Plus® is designed for use in more aggressive environments. This mix is ideal for stable floors, milking parlours, and grain stores. This mix is ideal for floor for storing machinery, livestock areas, cattle sheds, and work shop floors. This mix is resistant to abrasion from surface scraping and animal traffic and potential damage from heavy plant and machinery. Customers can expect a high quality surface finish, reducing any issues with cleaning and hygiene. This mix also has improve chemical resistance. The mix is quality-assured and complies with British Standards.
10mm Aggregate
Most of our standard mixes can be supplied with a 10mm aggregate for easy placement and for smaller depths. The use of 10mm aggregate does not affect the strength of the mix.
Fibre Mesh
Some of our mixes such a EasyWay and FarmFloor Plus have Fibres mixed in as standard. Our polypropylene fibers can: Improve mix cohesion, improving pumpability over long distances. Improve freeze-thaw resistance. Improve resistance to explosive spalling in case of a severe fire. Improve impact resistance. Increase resistance to plastic shrinkage during curing.
